Youth Program

Our Story
Space Coast Crew started as multiple area high school rowing teams coming together to share resources and equipment. What started as a collection of teams quickly grew to become one club. From there, the club grew to add more and more students and more and more opportunities for our community. Today, over 20 years after we were founded, Space Coast Crew has 150 members between our Youth, Middle School, Masters and Associate member programs. Even still, youth rowing still remains the primary focus of our great club. We are committed to teaching rowing while simultaneously using the natural lessons that come with our sport to teach our youth how to work hard, be patient and set goals.

Our Mission
We teach responsibility, respect and hard work through the sport of rowing. Our inclusive and challenging team philosophy means each of our young athletes are pushed to dream big, work hard and achieve high goals.

Our Facility
We row out of Oars and Paddles Park in beautiful Indian Harbour Beach, FL. We have a fleet of shells that empower our athletes to be successful in multiple disciplines and boat classes. We row on the Banana River where it meets the Inter coastal Waterway. Our nearly unlimited, well protected waterway is some of the best in the state of Florida for rowing and paddling.

Our Vision
We are committed to becoming one of the premier rowing clubs in the Southeast Region. Through expansive opportunities, hard work and a commitment to helping all of our members achieve their highest goals, Space Coast Crew will be a name synonymous with success and speed.

Our Results
SCC alumni attend every major university in Florida, as well as many of the smaller institutions around the state. We currently have alumni rowing at Stetson University, Florida Institute of Technology, Syracuse University, Emory Aeronautical University, University of Central Florida, University of Florida and Florida State University. SCC alumni also coach around the state of Florida and the Southeast. Our crews have ranked at the State, Regional and National level consistently over the past several years.
