Space Coast Crew is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization – organized and run by volunteer parents of rowers – that provides the equipment, facilities, training, coaching, transportation, and scheduling for regatta activities that take place all over the state of Florida. Our scholastic youth club team draws from most Brevard County high schools, middle schools, as well as home school and flex school program students as it fosters youth development and participation in a positive, athletic environment.

EVERY DONATION OF ANY AMOUNT IS HELPFUL AND NEEDED

The unique culture of Space Coast Crew as a community club/ sport-team-family with dedicated, professional coaches at the helm - drives both individual gains and team success for our student rowers. We have team spirit than spans and includes all areas of Brevard County and beyond! The sport of crew has a long-standing culture of respect and discipline. These are the foundations our team builds upon as we provide a positive environment in which student rowers can learn the concepts of teamwork, dedication and commitment to themselves and to others.

We travel the state as a caravan with up to 120+ student rowers at a time, their families, our huge boat trailer, and our trusty food trailer to 8-10 main regatta competitions per year from Sept-May. In addition, our Varsity Youth Team can be found at regional and national competitions each year. We also try to have our summer competition development team attend a summer regatta each year.

WE COMPETE AND TRAVEL ALMOST YEAR-ROUND.

We also offer multiple development camps over the summer, from Free Learn to Row Clinics and Week-long Learn to Row Camps for beginners to learn to Intermediate Sculling camps and summer competitive development teams so our rowers always have opportunities to gain new skills and grow in their abilities.

Our organization is made up of student athletes and their families, a volunteer Board of Directors, and a professional coaching staff. As year-round athletes, our rowers and their families may stay with our program for 4 or 5 years. Our high school aged rowers may receive scholarships to top colleges and some go on to row or coach in college rowing. Our alumni is doing great things! We have many success stories and testimonials from rowers who are sad to leave the SCC family and are so glad they spent their junior and high school years with us!

We are able to offer this team opportunity to student rowers in Brevard by collecting a moderate schedule of registration and dues from each participating rower along with an adjunct of generous financial support from businesses and organizations that believe in our mission and efforts in youth rowing in Brevard.

Each year we have significant costs in maintaining and growing the program; from the Boathouse itself and the boat maintenance of shells, sculls, launches, boat seats, boat shoes, boat parts, oars, and safety equipment, the acquisition of new boats into our aging fleet, professional coaching staff salaries, regatta entry fees, food for rowers at regattas, awards for our rowers for their hard work, team gear and spirit collateral, the trailers that carry our boats and food to each of the regattas and their ongoing maintenance, transportation expenses and insurance. We strive to make the experience of regattas and competition fun, comfortable, and memorable for the kids and families who put their trust in us and share their children with us during their developmental years.

We appreciate the thoughtfulness of those who are able to contribute and invest in our student rowers! We can offer sponsorship packages to include logo/brand sponsor placement on our website with links, through social media, in our yearbook, in specific online press releases, in community events, and on our food truck that travels to regattas with us.
