Registration and Dues. Your membership fees mainly go towards coaching salaries, equipment and equipment repair, regatta and travel fees, launch fuel, insurance and professional fees. The board works to establish a balanced budget as a non-profit while trying to ensure we remain affordable for our families. Thankfully, we expect to have a more normal season this year by providing our athletes plenty of opportunities to race and be together. Thank you for your patience and understanding throughout the past year.

2022-2023 Space Coast Crew Youth (HS) Registration

Space Coast Crew Mission: To promote a competitive rowing program that embodies sportsmanship & ethics, principles of respect & responsibility, and personal growth through winning & losing with dignity & self-control.
Please find the registration package for the SCC High School competitive rowing team. All sections regarding policies, waivers and notices must to be read, reviewed, considered and agreed to during the registration process. You will receive a confirmation email when registration is complete.

Registration and Dues cover coaches' salaries, programs, equipment maintenance, practices, regatta entry fees, awards, and food at regattas. Not included are unisuits (>$85), travel expenses to and from regattas (such as bus) and some overnight hotel stays, nominal membership cost for US Rowing, and a splash jacket optional purchase. Historically all rowers take team buses for some out of town regattas for which seats run about $50 and include pizza dinner on the way home. Important information will be available at our Mandatory Family Meeting on August 20th and monthly at team Booster Meetings.

Regarding volunteer hours (20 hours per rower): The team is heavily relying on our parent and family volunteers to keep it operating. Many opportunities can be done in person and remotely. Please select one or more ways you are interested in volunteering this year from the choices provided in this registration. Food Tent help is always needed; we are looking for families who have a diesel truck and are willing to help us tow the food trailer to and from regattas. If nothing is chosen, you will see the volunteer hours added as a dollar amount in checkout. This is up to you- we have some families choose the option to pay for volunteer hours due to work commitments. We are looking forward to parent and board engagement to fund the things that make our rower's time at SCC great!

A reminder - each rower needs a YEARLY Sports Physical form completed. This form must be printed out, then filled out and signed by an M.D., then submitted in person, in a sealed envelope with rower's first and last name, as soon as possible. This can be delivered at the Registration day Aug 20th.

Space Coast Crew requires EKG's for all athletes as is the policy for Brevard County Schools. Who We Play For is a Non-profit organization that is helping to make these available throughout the community. Please visit Www.whoweplayfor.org/screening for a list of upcoming EKG clinics. If your athlete has already had an EKG, you will need to provide a copy with the physical.  If you have completed it in past you are good for your middle school or high school career.

Please note: As a non-profit scholastic sports team, payments are accepted by Visa/Mastercard only and the card used for Registration will be kept securely on file by Blue Sombrero (Sports Connect) and charged Dues based on the payment schedule you select. This year we will have a monthly payment schedule or you may elect to pay all at once up front.
