High School Summer Competitive Camp (REGISTRATION NOW OPEN!)
The Summer Competitive Camp is available to any rising 9th-12th graders who have had at least one season (fall, spring, or full year) on the high school team. It will run from June 20th to July 22nd. Practice will be Monday through Friday from 7:30-10:30am and will include rowing in both sculling and sweep boats and weight training.
Athletes who sign up for this camp are committed to racing at USRowing Youth Summer Nationals in Oak Ridge, Tennessee on July 15-17th. The cost for the camp will include five weeks of training and travel (bus), hotel, and regatta costs for the race. Athletes will travel and room together, so parents are not required to attend the regatta. Coach Jocelyn, Coach Little, and a few parent chaperones will supervise the athletes throughout the trip. More information about race logistics and travel will be provided after registration.
High School Development Camp (REGISTRATION NOW OPEN!)
The high school development camp is for any rising 8th through 12th grade athletes who have been on the high school team previously or who plan to join the high school team in the fall. This is available for any athletes who want the opportunity to stay in shape over the summer but want the flexibility of a week-to-week option. This is also for any athletes who complete a learn-to-row camp and would like to continue to develop their skills before the fall season.
Camps will be paid by the week so athletes can select weeks to attend that work with their schedule. The development camp will run the weeks of June 13th to July 22nd and will be Monday, Wednesday, Friday, in the evening from 5:30-7:30pm. The focus for this camp will be rowing on the water and developing rowing technique. Athletes will have the opportunity to also participate in the separate Strength and Conditioning Training on Tuesday and Thursday throughout the summer if they want.
