ATTENTION SCC FAMILIES! Let’s get ready for the 29th Annual Southern Sprints Indoor Rowing Championships (Indoor Regatta)! When:  Saturday, February 4th, starting at 8:15am WhereClemente Sports and Recreation Center on the FIT campus Website: www.southernsprints.org Parents: All parents can sign up for any of several events, including 500m dash, 1000m, 2000m and relays. Please email Coach Heather at SCC.CoachHeather@gmail.com if you are interested in participating. Middle School Event: This year a new middle school 1000m event has been added. If any of our middle school program participants would like to enter, please email Coach Heather at SCC.CoachHeather@gmail.com . High School Rowers: Coaches will register all HS rowers. SCC Ad Sale Commitment DUE on Thursday, January 26. The due date WILL NOT BE EXTENDED this year so we can put together a high quality ad/year book we can be proud of. Ad sale letters and forms (with ad information requirements) can be found here.   Deliver your ad forms, print ready ads and payment to the boathouse (there will be a special file box only for ads on the coaches DESK) or you can bring them to the Booster Meeting on Monday, January 23. Be cautious not to bend or crumple the ads. If you have ANY other questions regarding your ad sale committment, specs, etc. please do not hesitate to contact Margot Cronk or Marlis Humphrey. SCC Car Wash - Spread the Word! Spread the word! Car wash fundraiser for SCC this Saturday, January 28th, 10am-2pm at Doubles. SCC February Booster Meeting Booster meetings, for parents and rowers, are held once a month. Our next booster meeting is Monday,  February 27th, 7pm at Doubles. SCC at the Space Coast Marathon SCC rowers, including Darth Vader, a Jedi, an astronaut and a narwhal, handed out water and encouragement to the Space Coast marathon runners on Sunday, Nov 27th. SCC rowers Alannah, Emily and Olivia completed the half marathon. See more photos in gallery 2. Head of the Hooch - Chattanooga, Tennesee Our returning rowers competed in the Head of the Hooch along with more than 1,900 crews on the Tennessee River on Saturday, November 5 and Sunday, November 6. This is the second largest regatta in the country. The teams endured early morning fog and temperatures in the low 40’s. SCC rowed well and demonstrated excellent teamwork. SCC entered two boats in the WY4+ event. 80 boats competed in this event which was designated as a “Row for the Cure Event” with all entry fees donated.
